Our vineyards

Trs Winery has planted its vineyards on the slopes of Fruška Gora – Vinogorja Srijem. Fruška gora is more than a mountain, it is a natural wealth of the Vukovar-Srijem region. If you are looking for good wines, this is the place for you.

The many hours of sunshine, the hills at an altitude of 200 to 250 meters and the drained soils on the shallow subsoil, which do not retain moisture, are the basic prerequisites for the production of top quality wines that go from Ilok to all of Croatia, Europe and the world. Since the first vines were planted in this area by the Romans in the 3rd century, the vineyards of Srijem have continuously expanded and today cover an area of about 1,500 hectares.

Our vineyards are located in different sites. Over time, we have found that each of these sites is specific and produces grapes that result in a wine with particular characteristics. Some of these areas are: Dekan, Veliko Brdo, Principovac, Vukovo, Radevac and Radoš.

We currently cultivate 60 hectares of vineyards. 32 hectares of our vineyards have been completely reconstructed. We base the production of our wines on seven grape varieties, most of which are white: Graševina, then Chardonnay, Rhine Riesling and Traminac. The red wines of the Trs winery are Frankovka, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

And while in the numerous vineyards of Ilok and its surroundings you could hear and see machines harvesting grapes lately, this is not the case at the Trs winery. In order to provide our customers with wine of the highest quality and value, we insist on harvesting the grapes we use for our wines exclusively by hand.

Finally, the slopes of the Srijem vineyard sloping down to the Dunav River create the most beautiful landscapes, which, in combination with the rich eno-gastronomic offer, invite you to rest and relax.
