Trs Winery has its vineyards located on the slopes of Fruška Gora – Vinogorja Srijem, at an altitude of 200 to 260 meters, which includes areas: Dekan, Veliko Brdo, Principal, Vukovo, Radjevac and Radoš.
Wine production is based on seven quality wine varieties, of which the white ones are the most represented: Grashevina, then Chardonnay, Rhine Riesling and Traminac. The black wines of the Trs winery are Frankovka, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
Fruška Gora is more than mountain, it is the natural wealth of the Vukovar-Srijem region. If you want good wines and natural beauty, then you are in the right place. Fruška Gora received the status of a national park in Serbia in 1960, making it the oldest national park across the border. No less than 90 percent of the area of Fruška Gora is covered by forrest. Fruška Gora is full of picnic areas like the Čortanovačka forrest, Stražilova, Hopova, Glavice, Popovice, Lipovače… the list is long, but you are not alone in the tour, because our winery Trs team will be happy to take you on a tour.
No less than 1500 species of plants, including more than 40 plants that have the status of rare plants, then numerous protected species of insects, several hundred birds, including still very rare, active nests of “Krstaš eagle”, the most endangered species from the “Red List of the World”…, are just a drop in the sea of what former island in the Pannonian Sea has to offer. That is why our two Families – Bosniak and Faletar decided to merge their family farms. Fruška gora allowed us to be proud of our wine cellar today, 15 years later, with a total capacity of 450,000 liters of wine.
Srijem vineyards are known for the excellent Grashevin and Traminc, also the pride of our cellar, and they are also protected as top wines. Representation of varieties: Grashevina – 70%, Chardonnay – 5%, Rhine Riesling – 3%, Traminac – 5%, Frankovka – 8%, Cabernet Sauvignon – 6%, Cabernet Franc – 3%.
